Every Problem Has A Solution

One of the greatest post- war Italian comedians, Mario Monicelli has killed himself by jumping out of an hospital window. Monicelli. 95, was nicknamed:"THE FATHER OF ITALIAN COMEDY" for directing films such as "Amiel Mei" ( My Dear Friend) and "Soliti Ignoti" (person Unknown)- all great comedies that can make you think that Christmas is in July. He received numerious awards and was nominated for Oscar award. He acted and directed 70 films, often focusing on stories about ordinary people confronted by extra ordinary circumstances. But is it not sad that after helping others to laugh, he could not help himself to laugh.

According to a controversial statement by USA police, former Nigeria footbal squad ( the super Eagles) defender, Uche Okafor committed suicide in January this year. This has brought to three the numbers of Nigeraian footballers who have committed suicide since 1952. The reason for this controversial suicide is unknown. Uche's death also follows the suicide of German goalkeeper Robert Enke. He commited suicide a few months ago because  he could not get over the death of his two years old daughter, Lara, who had died of heart complications

In life, there is no battle free age group, nation, profession, colour, tribe, sex etc. Obstacles and trials are inevitiable to all. The purest ore is produced from the hottest furnace and problems are the price progress. That is why you  must not murmur, die or quit. Every Problem Has A Solution And Has An Expiry Date!  You must be determined and resolute inspite of that depressing circumstance.

Never bow to a problem! It will bow at last if you hold on and hold out.You must not end your life, giving up is not an option, quitting is not an option; success is a journey not a destination.

Hold On To Your Dreams You Will Get There

All people dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind, wake in the morning to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people, for they dream their dreams with open eyes, and make them come true. No matter how the past of your life has been, keep all your dream so close to your heart, and never give up, even when your life is falling apart. Let your dreams  give you strength to carry on and help you find the future, you feel  has gone. Your dreams are your tomorrows and even through the thick darkness of life’s storms, don’t give up! Nothing is impossible, as long as you believe.

Life can readily be wasted when frustration is permitted to set in. Refuse to be discouraged. Keep up your fighting spirit and you are sure to ultimately win.

Bob Gass tells the story of Theodore Seuss Giesel. Thedore drew cartoons in a  “creature-of-the month”  ad compaign for a popular insecticide called  “Fit”. He wanted to expand into commercial illustrating, but his advertising contract wouldn’t allow it. So he tried his hand at writing children’s books- and flopped!  After 27 rejections of his first attempt, A STORY NO ONE CAN BEAT, he was ready to quit. One night, on the way home to burn his manuscript, he ran into an old schoolmate who had just been hired as a children’s book editor with Vanguard Press. With a little help, and changing the title to THINK THAT I SAW IT ON MULBERRY STREET, Thoedor’s first book finally made it to the press.

There is a message here for you. Even when others offer you no hope or encouragement, refuse to quit! Refuse to let anybody intimidate you or deter you from your goals! Fight and overcome every limitation! Remember, every winner- every one of them face defeat and adversity; and you are no different.

Conquer That Stress : Smile Daily.

Please frown your face and turn the sides of your mouth down. Imagine it’s your birthday and your friends or spouse. Frown more! Hold It ! How do you feel ? Okay now, Smile. Let the corners of your lips slide heaven wards  ( upwards) . Imagine the birthday card has just arrived. The surprise party is for you. Bigger smile! Hold it ! How do you feel? Better ! Here is why: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.

Researchers have shown that when a person smiles, there is a reduction in cortisol, a chemical that provokes stress in the body and an increase in mind-elevating endorphins ( hormones) on the social level, an honest smile cancels hostility and draws people near you. It takes more muscles to frown than smile in the human body. Laughter has a protective effect  on the immune system by increasing anti-body producing cell and
activating virus fighting cells.

The act of smiling engages at  least three major muscle groups, increasing blood to the face and thus helping to create a glossy glow. Yet despite all these benefits, a smile is free. I heard recently that the great philosopher, Akin vats  used to make himself to laugh every morning for 10 minutes as  soon as he got up. I tried my own version for about 5 minutes of that exercise.

Laughter is the  biological reaction of  humans to moment or occasions of humour. Every laugh you make cuts short the miles and hours and days of drudgery/DEPRESSION. No matter what you are going through rejoice or pretend to rejoice if need be , but don’t die through tears, self-pity, depression, worry or anxiety. A man is not finished if he can still laugh.

Edgar Watson Howe wrote: If you don’t learn to laugh at trouble, you won’t have anything to laugh at when you are old. “Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine” No wonder  Micheal Pritchad wrote: He who laugh last, Laugh longest.

Indeed a day without laughter is a day wasted, nothing shows a man characters more than what he laughs at. Refuse to pity yourself, forgive yourself, reject depression because your best days are still ahead.
